Most trekkers spend two to three days on this path. You will pass through Berber villages, cross official police checkpoints, and sleep at a high-altitude mountain refuge.

Hiring a licensed local guide is legally mandatory for foreign trekkers on this route. Expect steep ascents and changing bioclimates as you climb toward the 4,167-meter summit.
